Gunnar History Page

by admin on April 4, 2012

We get lots of requests for information on older Gunnars, like, “Is the geometry on my ten-year old Roadie the same as it is today?” or “When did you go to the Paragon Dropouts on the Ruffian?”. We now added a Gunnar history page to fill in this gap. It has geometries of old, up to 2005, the year we started keeping individual records on-line (which you get access to when you register your Gunnar). Click here to visit the page.

So having registered by Gunnar, how do I find my individual records online?

Have an old ’04 Rockhound and would like to know the spec’s of the frame before I buy a seatpost and stem

After about 2000, all seatposts on all Gunnars are 27.2mm. All off-road frames have had 1 1/8″ steerers. Geometry-wise, you can find the info on this page.

Once you are registered and your registration is approved, you can log in, and there is a “Details” link for each bike you register. The reason we go through an approval process is to match you registration with the exact frame we built for you. Starting mid-2005, we started posting the details of every bike we built, so you have all the stats you need. Prior to that, you should have the model, size, options and original color, plus the original dealer and order/production dates. If a stock geometry, you can match it up with the information on this page.

Theoretically, you can register any bike with this system. If we didn’t build it, we have no records with which to match. Waterford-built Schwinn Paramounts before 2000 are included in this.
